Dr. Samantha Shaver is a lifelong Kentucky resident. She received her dental degree from the University of Louisville in 1994. She has been active in organized dentistry since her graduation. She has been vice president of the KY Dental Association (2000), president of the KY Academy of General Dentistry (2000-02) and president of the Louisville Dental Society (2004-05).

In 2007 Dr. Shaver was awarded her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. A dentist who has received their Fellowship offers his or her patients cutting-edge care. "We have to complete 500 hours of continuing education in various disciplines and then pass a rigorous examination. It's not easy, but it’s worth it to make sure my patients are getting the best possible care available."

About Our Team

We have an excellent team. Our office is committed to continuing education to keep us current with the latest trends and technologies in dentistry.

All of our hygienists have taken extensive continuing education programs that greatly exceed their requirements. We have a soft tissue management program to manage any of our periodontal needs.

Darla has worked in the dental field since 1982. She received her dental hygiene degree in 1994 from the University of Louisville. Darla has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration.

Karrie has been a dental hygienist since 2005 receiving her hygiene degree from Western Kentucky University. Karrie also has state certification in nitrous oxide administration and local anesthesia administration.

Pam has been in the dental field since 1991. She received her Expanded Duties Dental Assistant certification from the University of Louisville in 1999. Dental assistants can become certified by passing an examination that evaluates their knowledge. Becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) assures the public that the dental assistant is prepared to assist competently in the provision of dental care. Pam was awarded her CDA in 1994.

Lauren is our Scheduling Coordinator. Lauren is responsible for the coordination of appointments for all providers, administration of the billing system, insurance coordination and recare systems. Patients can always rely on Lauren to help resolve any issues that may arise during the course of their care at our practice. Lauren continues to meet and exceed our stringent continuing education requirements.
